| This is her finished project |
This class assignment was a big thing for our girl her other school hadn't had any projects of this
caliber. The assignment was to take a book you read and either do a page from it or the cover picture. You had to use at least 5 different textured materials, it could not be construction paper, it had to be big enough to be seen across the room and your class mates critiqued it as well. Jill used a poster board to start, she drew the girl out of stock paper and glue her on to some colored stock paper, her characters hair was braided yarn (1), the shirt was silk material she had to cut out then glue onto the cut out (2) she had glass beds for the eye balls (3) she is holding an actual crayon (4) all the doodles on the sides were different crafty things she found to glue on to look like the doodles from the book (5,6,7,10) the yellow man face was a cut out piece of cardboard (11) then painted yellow (12) and painted with puffy paint the facials (13) oh and her eye lashes were glued on pieces of leather, the color behind the title is crayon and the the outline of her shirt and face is sharpie. She did well over the requirements and I have to be 100% honest.... this project was given a 2 week deadline, she worked on it nightly and turned it in 3 days before the due date with no help from us this was all her drawing things out, gathering supplies, laying it out, working on sizing and got a well deserved A+. They also had to describe the book in a presentation and answer class questions. Bravo Jillian Bravo!!!
