We have had some really cold weather, some snow last night (maybe a few inches) but it was

the freeze that makes it scary now for me. I had earlier in the week faced my terror with the rental car and just gone slow but it drives SOOOO different from mine that I am still not confident with the road. When we got the weather report yesterday for snow & then freeze I cried.

I KNOW THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE A HAPPY Post......... it is.......:0

The drive down is 22 miles but because the road is so twisty it takes 35 minutes one way.

MY SWEET, WONDERFUL HUSBAND HAS BEEN DRIVING ME DOWN AND COMING BACK AND GETTING ME, HE DOES THIS WITHOUT ONE SINGLE COMPLAINT, IT IS AN HOUR ROUND TRIP FOR HIM EACH TIME AND ON TREATMENT DAYS HE DOES IT 3X'S.

HE IS MY HERO AND MY SUNSHINE FOR SURE!!!

                 ANSWERS:

1. whipping cream or dip a cookie but I don't really care for the marshmellow thingy.

2. We had some snow late in the day but it didn't stick around thru the night and we have had only icy nights sense no white stuff. I would rather have the white then the ice.

3. Not seeds, I had a huge catalog addiction when we first moved (3 yrs, ago) it was so nice to order thru the catalogs no lines, no rude people, & it allowed me to circle items and go back & forth about purchasing things and then get a grip and say I CAN live without that item so No order. Flipping thru catalogs was my de-stress wish list thing for the new house but I bought very little so it was a weird addiction. I would get anywhere between 12-15 catalogs in the mail a day when I 1st quit buying completely from them now it is 5-7.

I give the least liked one to Dollie to chew while I thumb thru the better ones, she doesn't eat the paper she just thinks she is helping me with not ordering LOL.

4. We have electric now.

5. hmmmm toughie.......oh I got the rental car today while mine is in the shop being fix from my wreck... it is new.

She started Pondering with a Purpose because -- simply put -- Sh's a writer - - that is what she does ! And although I love following all the hops, I wanted to see if I could bring out some creativity in not only myself, but some of my blogger friends as well.

This Week's prompt: time

Do you seem to think that time is flying by? Obviously when we are the middle of a crisis or a tough situation it seems to be creeping and crawling.... that's not what I'm talking about... I'm talking about time as a whole...

I am one of the worst when it comes to time. I was always late, always setting the time ahead 10 minutes to help me get better

but I knew the clock was 10 minutes a head and I still accounted

that extra time in and arrived late.

My life changed when I got the business I had to be an example

and I had many people depending on my time, all of a sudden, it

caused great stress, but I did get better about managing time and

 being on time.

Time is once again knocking on my door making me want to just 

take the batteries out to stop it from clicking away. Where does the time go? why does it have to sneak up on me so suddenly? How did 

I lose it?

When my husband worked construction he constantly said no to people asking favors, I was confused....why would you say no to so-so who asked you to help him with something? Hubs would say flatly my time isn't free, i have a family and they need me on my time off  not a bunch of young guys sitting around a side job drinking beer expecting me, the old dude, to show them how to do it while they watched....simple they couldn't afford what I charge for my time if it takes me away from my family. Now a bon-a-fide favor totally different.

Time is chasing me around the house on a regular bases, sometimes with my pants down sometimes with them up but I feel the pressure of time running out for me daily and I want to scrunch and scramble to do so many things in quickly so I am on a time roller coaster that I am not sure how long I will be riding but as I am I know I have lots of you riding it with me so I am not afraid.

I love me this project I have missed it and so many of my other favorite hops or memes and especially the writing prompts from Brenda & Josie so even though I am feeling ???? I am going to try and make myself felt in the land of blog this week....so enjoy a dance with my favorite guy here

Hahha we love this guy in our house he cracks us up and you know what he is an amazing dancer, seriously! So my Sunshine this week is in honor of this Guy ....Christopher Walken....I have rented 5 movies to watch while sick from treatment, I may be sick but thanks Walken I am walking on sunshine yay!!!

3. Yes I do it is something we haven't done before but will be a big thing for me & the husband. We had done the Rock N Bowl in the past to included daughter but this year no bowling for us we are making history happen.

4. There has been so many fun ones with everyones naughty elves I couldn't pick up right now.

5. question.....if you have young children in the house how do you pull off New Years with them until 12?? If you don't have young ones in the home any longer, what do you remember as being one of your fond memories of you getting to celebrate New Years??

1. I usually paint my toe nails but never in the winter, I spend so much time in socks and the hot-tub they look dull so I keep them bare and moisturized.
2. I was named Janice because my dad liked the name, he named all us kids apparently my mom had trouble with names.
3. I would never change ANYTHING about my body, but I would (like to) change my health.
4. The last time I said "I Love You" was to  Jillian as we dropped her off at school this am and then my hubs as he dropped me off at work. I am on no driving duty this week from treatments so he is graciously dropping me off and picking me up and now to all of YOU......Love you GUYS & GIRLS!!!

1. St. Jude's Hospital

2. I did the silly me me dance Friday while watching the grandson. Slow danced by the woodstove with the hubs late Tuesday night while I was sick from treatment. He knows that the healing is from loving.

3. Little things....a quick note or text, pick up something I know they like, I still love to mail notes in the mail. For family I make sure I have favorite things for them without them asking. And I CALL just to say hello.

4. YES I love to do Holiday cards.

My 5th question is........What is your take on Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas??

  I find no reason why we can not be correct when we wish someone Merry Christmas, I think it is a shame that we have to correct ourselves when at work etc... to say Happy Holidays as not to offend anyone by saying Merry Christmas.

I want pictures for sure baby piglets are so sweet!! Okay lets get to chatting if you want to chat along click on the button up there and link up. Questions  

1. Do you have your tree up yet? If not, when will you put it up? If you don't have a tree, please tell me about another tradition you like.
2. What was the best job you ever had? The worst?
3. Do you drive around and look at Christmas lights? If not applicable, tell me something you like to look at when you go for a drive.

                                         ANSWERS;

1. No tree up yet, I am not sure when I want to get a new one our old one has a middle section of lights that will not work and even though I always put more on anyway it is so very noticeable to me so I want a new one. It took me a long while to agree to a fake one but my fear of fire won me over to the fake & the pets help as well so now I wouldn't want to go back to the mess, stress, and waste of a real tree. we live in amongst pine trees I don't miss the smell that is what most will say in pro real tree debate ( I was a pro-er for yrs.).

2. Best job I ever had was/is being a mom!! The worst was the carehome, do not get me wrong I loved the people but it was a very draining sometimes disgusting job.

3. I love to drive and look at lights L O V E it!! When my older kids were little I called it our night of lights adventure. I get more oohhs & aahhs from the Christmas lights than fireworks.

4. Sure does and this time of year we drink alot of tea, I try and keep it on the wood stove so I can have it always ready but it whistles too much for the hubs so he sets it nexts to the stove.

5. I love boots but boots can be tricky for me, I have very wide feet (Flintstones feet they have been called) so finding comfy boots that are stylish is tough, but the mudders oh I love me them boots!!

1. yes I do I love snail mail I write a card weekly to a blog pal and I never forget to send birthday cards to all family & close friends. I think a letter or card in the mail is such a fun surprise.

3. We bought some over priced batteries at our local hardware store here, but I avoided cyber & black.

4. First of all YES Wendell could fit quite nicely and he would have lots of apples to munch on, I could hold 6-7 guests over night.

5. YES love fishing in fact we ask for our licenses every Christmas.

Happy List Tuesday

Happy List 11.27.12

I have missed/skipped this for the last few weeks... a couple reason, 1) I was not happy about changing my blog, 2) things are not going well medically for me 3) I am not a fan of this time of year....WHEW I know that is going to set it off but I am prepared for whatever!

This week isn't ANY better but I am going to go and find at least something to be HAPPY about and list!!!  Here goes........I am HAPPY that some of my best blog buddies are following me here after all.

I am HAPPY to be planning the "SOUP OFF" holiday competition  at work which also includes our annual UGLY sweater contest.

I am HAPPY to have the Lord in my heart!!
