ANSWERS;
1. No tree up yet, I am not sure when I want to get a new one our old one has a middle section of lights that will not work and even though I always put more on anyway it is so very noticeable to me so I want a new one. It took me a long while to agree to a fake one but my fear of fire won me over to the fake & the pets help as well so now I wouldn't want to go back to the mess, stress, and waste of a real tree. we live in amongst pine trees I don't miss the smell that is what most will say in pro real tree debate ( I was a pro-er for yrs.).
2. Best job I ever had was/is being a mom!! The worst was the carehome, do not get me wrong I loved the people but it was a very draining sometimes disgusting job.
3. I love to drive and look at lights L O V E it!! When my older kids were little I called it our night of lights adventure. I get more oohhs & aahhs from the Christmas lights than fireworks.
4. Sure does and this time of year we drink alot of tea, I try and keep it on the wood stove so I can have it always ready but it whistles too much for the hubs so he sets it nexts to the stove.
5. I love boots but boots can be tricky for me, I have very wide feet (Flintstones feet they have been called) so finding comfy boots that are stylish is tough, but the mudders oh I love me them boots!!
Happy Week to you all and thanks Patrice for being such a fun host great questions, post some piglet pictures okay? oh and HAY Wendell.
I have my little tiny tree out and that is about the extent of my Christmas decorations. I miss my old home where I had room for a big tree.
ReplyDeleteHUGS!!!!
We got our tree this past weekend, and it is gorgeous! I love real trees, but these days they have such beautiful fake ones that I may give in one of these years and buy one!! I love boots, too, by the way :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry but I so had to laugh at your comment about your "Flintsones" feet!! ;-) HOPE you have a great rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteWhat you might think of doing is keeping your old tree this Christmas season, then getting a new tree after Christmas when they're practically giving them away. I agree with you, motherhood is the best and most profitable non-paying job there is! I love drinking herbal tea but I have to be careful - I used to be a heavy tea drinker and it was causing kidney stones to form. I don't want those again! Have a blessed week Janice.
ReplyDeleteI read your answers, but right now I want to jump through this screen and give you a big hug. I read your comment to be a secret Santa for one of the Chats gals and teared up. How precious!Blessings!
ReplyDeletewe always use fake trees, real trees are a mess and yeah, my kittens would really ruin one!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to be a doctor as a young girl, so I became a candy striper at a local retirement home. The first friend (patient) I had passed away & I had to quit. I knew then that I didn't have what it took to become a doctor.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say thank you for visiting my blog and thank you so much for your secret Santa offer. God moves in such mighty ways. I want to tell you that when I was putting my answers in God actually spoke to my mind and told me that someone was going to read the answers and send me a teapot. I actually thought I was crazy but then I saw your response. Never doubt that you have an ear to hear God's whispers and bless your heart for listening.
ReplyDeleteGreat answers! Our tree isn't up because we have to finish the flooring before we can drag a tree in. I also love driving around to look at Christmas lights! One of my favorite things!
ReplyDeleteWe will get our tree next week. A real one. I don't know if its the colder weather uo here, or that I just water it religiously...but I don't have much problem with lost needles. We also get a fir usually, which tends to drop less needles.
ReplyDeleteI love that my kettle has a whistle!
And driving around looking at Christmas lights is a definite must. The kids love it, we love it....it's kinda magical.
My life can always use more boots :)
I love artificial trees but Biz insists on a real one. I have to admit that I do like the smell of them better - just not sure if they are worth the mess.
