Sure does and it also makes you very grateful. We need to live for today not yesterday, this is a constant reminder for me I have the quote on my desk to help me from stumbling.
Time changes everything, but I like to think things go in the direction intended. Still, if someone is missing from your life now that you feel is still important to it, go and reconnect!
I did just that Josie those who meant something & were important I am connected to now almost weekly it is a nice feeling to know who needs to be near and who needs to be far or in some cases not at all.
oh, so true!! In the past couple of years I have "lost" quite a few friends. It was a willing choice because I just couldn't live the same lifestyle anymore -- not that they were bad people. They were wonderful people - but it was a constant issue. But I have also had new people - reality and blogosphere - that I feel have enriched my life so much more than the ones I had to let go. Really, I feel blessed and privileged for them all.
What a wonderful sentiment... in short... live life to the fullest on your own terms! I am glad that I count you as one of my friends now... and we were strangers a year ago!
