One of the Truest Test

I have had several of ........ what the heck is going on with life these last few weeks. from hospital stays, to heartbreak, to wrecking my car and now the overwhelming scare of driving down the hill to work or up the hill home. We are super busy at work so it isn't the best time to miss to much of it.  I have driven my hubs C R A Z Y with my what if's?? my over thinking?? my anxiety, and my tears!!! BUT even with my less than nice voice and my excuses... he has been there a 100%. He has drove me to work which is 35 minutes one way and then came back down and picked me up,  some days when I have appts he has to make that hour round trip drive 3x's in a day.  I have attempted getting back on the road, I drove the rental car a few days but then we had a little bit of snow come thru, nothing major at all few silly inches......it is the freeze that has me freaked out and the rental car isn't a familiar car for me so I am not showing any confidence to try and drive it in freezing conditions. Today and tomorrow the hubs is on driving duties again and even though he isn't happy about it that I get all worked up and think it is making him mad, he really isn't,  he is just frustrated that I tell him he's mad when he's not!!  I am just afraid it is putting him out and I feel bad for making him do it.... he would do anything in the world for me I know this with all my heart. It is the small things when shown that mean the most and his understanding with me even if it did make him angry I know he still would do them which to me is the truest test of love for sure.

  1. First of all, I'm still praying for you. :) Second, that is one good man you have there.. Of course he has a pretty awesome woman so I think that's fair. ;)

  3. that is the true test of "for better or worse"....when for some unknown reason, the one partner seems to be getting All The Worse, and the other has to be At Their Best: sometimes for a long time. But that's the times when love is strengthened I think. we just have to see the opportunity; not the burdens.
and it seems you guys got this! <3

  4. What a trooper he is, Janice. So sorry for all that you've been going through. I know driving on snow/ice is very challenging; (lived in Montana for 8 years); it is good that he is willing to drive you around. I hope things start evening out a bit for you soon!

  5. OH Janice!
You know he would move the world for you and it is not in your nature to accept anything from anyone...but you also know that if the tables were turned you would be doing it for him!
This is truly a testament to the type of love you have!

    Hope things turn around soon

  6. You're in my thoughts and prayers daily, J! And I agree...what an awesome guy you've got there!

I never did mind driving in the snow/ice, but I'm super-cautious when I do! What scares me are the idiots out there who think that just because they have 4-wheel drive, they're invincible! (Or, the morons who think they're invincible even without 4-wheel drive.) Then, they're out there driving like they're trying to qualify for Nascar! Ooh...it really irks the crap outta me.

  7. We just got two feet of snow where I live. I learned how to drive in Florida. This has me freaking out every time I commute so I'm with you.
This is seriously one of the sweetest things I've read in awhile by the way.

  8. Your husband sounds like mine. He has been there for me, through all of my health problems. I understand exactly what you mean. You chose the perfect picture. That is what it is all about. God bless them. What would we do without them?

  9. I don't seem to get all of your updates and I am sorry for that.

I understand your fear of the ice as it scares me too. We had an ice storm here last night.

I think your husband is one in a million and I am so glad that you have him. May God Bless you my friend and hold tight to your hand.

    Love and HUGS!!!

  11. First and foremost - Many hugs headed your way, Janice!! You have a wonderful husband who loves and cares about you and sometimes life has a way of handing us things all at once and then peace comes and things settle back down again. Just keep holding his hand tight, letting him know how much you love him and you'll both get through. Much love and hugs!!
